# IXFXN > IXFXN (pronounced "I-X Function") is a control plane for institutional money. An AI Assistant drafts payments and explains reconciliation breaks; authorised people confirm; only the payment engine can move money, and it cannot use any AI; a tamper-evident ledger records everything. IXFXN is not a regulated financial institution: regulated activity is carried out by IXFXN's customers and integrated payment providers under their own licences. Interfaces: Desktop dashboard, AI Assistant chat, Slack, REST API, Python SDK, and a read-only MCP (Model Context Protocol) server for outside AI tools. Providers today, all simulated: bank transfer, tokenized deposit, USDC. Planned: CoinPayments (default custodial crypto), DepiPay (non-custodial). ## Overview - [IXFXN overview (Markdown)](https://www.ixfxn.com/index.md): what it is, the 7 payment steps, safeguards, providers, FAQ - [Homepage](https://www.ixfxn.com/) - [Security](https://www.ixfxn.com/security): the rules that keep AI away from the money - [Integrations](https://www.ixfxn.com/integrations): provider categories and real status - [Run a scenario](https://www.ixfxn.com/sandbox): interactive evaluation on simulated providers - [Pricing](https://www.ixfxn.com/pricing) - [Developers](https://www.ixfxn.com/developers): REST API, Python SDK, MCP server, payment lifecycle ## Industries - [Banks and financial institutions](https://www.ixfxn.com/industries/banks): Run payment operations across bank rails, tokenized deposits and stablecoins from one control plane, and let AI agents do the investigation work without giving them access to funds. - [Fintech and payment companies](https://www.ixfxn.com/industries/fintech): Embed approvals, spending limits, a tamper-evident ledger and reconciliation behind your own product through the API and SDK, and connect custodial or non-custodial crypto providers behind the same rules. - [Corporate treasury](https://www.ixfxn.com/industries/corporate-treasury): Pay suppliers and contractors, run recurring payments and keep balances above your minimums, with approvals and a full audit trail, from the chat or the dashboard. - [Private equity, asset and venture managers](https://www.ixfxn.com/industries/private-equity): Large, infrequent wires to known parties are where IXFXN fits best: one person initiates, a partner or compliance officer approves, and the history is provable to LPs and auditors. - [Family offices](https://www.ixfxn.com/industries/family-offices): Family offices pay across trusts, companies and family members' accounts, usually with more than one person signing off. IXFXN gives that a single set of rules and one record. - [Law firms: client trust accounts](https://www.ixfxn.com/industries/law-firms): Client money needs careful records, approvals and regular reconciliation. IXFXN keeps every client-fund payment approved, recorded and matched to the bank statement. Solo practitioners can pre-authorise limits instead of needing a second person, with an after-the-fact review. - [Real estate escrow and title](https://www.ixfxn.com/industries/real-estate-escrow): Large one-off closing payments with strict trust-accounting rules: IXFXN puts approvals, payee checks and reconciliation around each disbursement. - [Property managers](https://www.ixfxn.com/industries/property-management): Tenant deposits and owner funds are other people's money. IXFXN keeps those payments approved, recorded and reconciled. - [Non-profits and foundations](https://www.ixfxn.com/industries/non-profits): Grants often need board sign-off before they go out, and donors and regulators expect a clear record. IXFXN gives you both, including recurring grant payments. ## Perspectives - [Why AI should propose payments, not send them](https://www.ixfxn.com/ai-should-propose-not-send): The case for keeping the power to move money out of every AI model's reach. - [Building a payment platform like an operating system](https://www.ixfxn.com/payment-platform-like-an-operating-system): Protected core, pluggable providers, one doorway in: what the comparison buys you. - [Reconciliation breaks, explained by an agent](https://www.ixfxn.com/reconciliation-breaks-explained): What a good recommendation looks like, and who signs it off. ## Optional - [About IXFXN](https://www.ixfxn.com/about)
