Building a payment platform like an operating system
Protected core, pluggable providers, one doorway in: what the comparison buys you.
A computer's operating system has a protected core that is the only thing allowed to touch the hardware. Every program, however clever, has to ask it. IXFXN is built the same way, for money.
One protected core
Only the payment engine can move money. The dashboard, the AI Assistant, Slack, the API and outside AI tools all go through the same small set of services to reach it, with the same identity and rule checks.
Providers are plug-ins
A bank, a tokenized deposit, a custodial crypto provider such as CoinPayments or a non-custodial one such as DepiPay: each is connected behind the same interface. Adding one does not change the approvals, limits or ledger above it.
AI agents are sandboxed programs
Agents can read, draft and investigate. What they produce is a recommendation for a person, never an action on money.
Why it matters
When every route in goes through one doorway, there is one place to check, one place to audit and one place to fix. That is what makes it safe to add new screens, channels and AI features quickly.
