Reconciliation breaks, explained by an agent
What a good recommendation looks like, and who signs it off.
Reconciliation is where small differences turn into long afternoons: a statement line that is USD 18.00 short, a payment that matched twice, a fee nobody booked.
The agent's job
In IXFXN an investigator agent looks at each break, compares the ledger with the bank or wallet statement and writes a short explanation with a suggested fix, for example: the difference matches the receiving bank's published fee; book USD 18.00 to bank fees.
The person's job
A person reads the explanation and accepts or rejects it. Accepted fixes go through the same approvals as any other change and are recorded in the audit trail with who decided and why.
What good looks like
A useful recommendation names the evidence, the amount, the account to book it to, and how confident it is. If it cannot explain itself in two sentences, it should not be accepted.
